The Los Angeles Rams will be without Myles Garrett and Terrance Ferguson for at least one more week. Sean McVay told reporters on Wednesday that neither Garrett nor Ferguson will return to practice this week, which means they will not play in Sunday's game against the Los Angeles Chargers.
"We will not start Myles' or Terrance Ferguson's clock this week," McVay said.
Garrett has been out since undergoing knee surgery after the team's Week 1 loss to the San Francisco 49ers. The Rams never gave a firm timetable for his return, but Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reported it was a six-week timeline. This will now be Garrett's seventh missed game, so his recovery is taking longer than expected.
McVay even admitted that he knows "it's frustrating."
The Rams
will NOT open the practice windows for Myles Garrett or Terrance Ferguson this week. Myles does not need another procedure and has not had any setbacks, Sean McVay said. He just isn’t ready yet. “I know it’s frustrating,” McVay said.

McVay said the Rams are on a "week-to-week basis" with Garrett, so it's unclear when he will be back on the practice field and suiting up on game days.

With Garrett, McVay said Rams are “on a week-to-week basis” with him currently.
Ferguson went on IR after the team's Week 3 loss to the Broncos, a game in which he battled through an ankle injury. McVay originally indicated that Ferguson would return after the four-game minimum absence, but this will now be his fifth missed game.
