The Los Angeles Rams gutted out a win over the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday, avoiding a 1-3 hole four games into the season. It took a dramatic come-from-behind effort where the defense dominated all day, and the offense finally came alive in the fourth quarter when it needed to most.
Pro Football Focus graded every player from the Rams' win, and we separated them by the best and worst performers. Tyler Higbee and Puka Nacua led the way on offense, while Josh Wallace was outstanding on defense for Los Angeles.

- TE Tyler Higbee: 82.9
- WR Puka Nacua: 77.3

- RB Kyren Williams: 70.7
- C Coleman Shelton: 70.1
Higbee stepped up with Terrance Ferguson and Colby Parkinson out, catching five passes for 67 yards with a 64.0 run-blocking grade.
Nacua was his usually dominant self with nine catches for 125 yards, forcing one missed tackle with five
first downs.
Jackson only allowed one pressure and had an 82.6 pass-blocking grade.
Williams' grade is lower than expected after forcing six missed tackles as a runner with two more forced as a receiver.
Shelton led the team with an 83.4 pass-blocking grade.
Top 5 defense
- CB Josh Wallace: 82.0
- DT Ty Hamilton: 80.3
- LB Nate Landman: 80.1
- NT Poona Ford: 77.3
- CB Emmanuel Forbes Jr.: 74.3
Wallace was outstanding in place of Jaylen Watson, allowing only one catch on three targets for 2 yards.
Hamilton only played 11 snaps and didn't have a tackle or a pressure.
Landman led the team with nine tackles and only allowed 17 yards in coverage on four targets.
Ford was stout against the run and also had one pressure as a pass rusher.
Forbes was targeted twice and didn't allow a single catch in coverage.
Bottom 5 offense
- TE Davis Allen: 49.7
- LG Steve Avila: 49.5
- WR Davante Adams: 47.5
- WR Jordan Whittington: 45.3
- RB Blake Corum: 42.5
Allen was targeted twice but didn't have a reception.
Avila allowed a team-high three pressures and had a 38.4 run-blocking grade.

Bottom 5 defense
- CB Trent McDuffie: 58.9
- OLB Josaiah Stewart: 54.8
- DT Tyler Davis: 54.1
- S Kamren Kinchens: 52.3
- DT Braden Fiske: 42.8
McDuffie was targeted five times and allowed two catches for 13 yards, once again playing sticky coverage.
Stewart came into the game questionable to play and he only got 17 pass-rush snaps, failing to record a pressure.
Davis had one pressure and three tackles in the win, making two stops.
Kinchens missed one tackle but he was great as a blitzer, notching two total pressures, including a sack.
Fiske was second on the team with six pressures, which makes his grade a bit puzzling. It was weighed down by his team-worst 29.0 tackle grade despite only missing one attempt.
Other notables
- DT Kobie Turner: 71.4
- OLB Byron Young: 70.5
- QB Matthew Stafford: 65.7
- DB Quentin Lake: 60.3
Turner finished with five pressures and Young led the team with seven, as both defenders were outstanding when it came to rushing the passer. They each missed one tackle, though.
Stafford didn't have his best but he still made three big-time throws despite his two turnover-worthy plays, which were both interceptions.
Lake made five tackles and had two pressures as a blitzer but allowed 25 yards in coverage, including Darius Cooper's touchdown.
