Los Angeles Rams head coach Sean McVay may not want to play the victim card, but the team certainly has a case of being the victim of flopping at the end of the Week 3 loss to the Denver Broncos.
Broncos receiver Pat Bryant admitted in an interview with CBS News Colorado's Romi Bean that he "did sell it just enough ... to get the flag" on the controversial defensive pass interferencecall late in the fourth quarter that helped Denver score what ended up being the winning touchdown.
"It was... it was a little pass interference," Bryant said. "I did—I did sell it just enough, you know what I'm saying, to get the flag. But he definitely gave me a little nudge that I felt, and I felt like I couldn't get the ball, so it was either the ball or the call,
and we ended up getting the call."
Asked whether football has its own version of the flop, the way basketball and soccer do, Bryant didn't hesitate.
"Oh yeah, of course. Especially—boom, you see it here," Bryant said. "Once they give you that push, it's either illegal contact or pass interference. I know that's the biggest thing. Going across social media right now, I can't even open my social media without seeing the video. But I mean, it's something that—that a lot of people do in this league, so kind of use it to my advantage."

The moment came on third-and-6 from the Los Angeles 11, with Denver in position to take the lead late in the fourth quarter. Broncos quarterback Bo Nix threw into the end zone, and Rams cornerback Josh Wallace appeared to come away with the ball. Officials instead flagged him for contact on Bryant. What looked like a turnover became a first-and-goal from the 7, and Denver cashed in to go up 30-26.
Bryant's comments will only add to the conversation around a play that flipped field position, momentum and the scoreboard in a single snap.
