The Los Angeles Rams surprisingly cut linebacker Chris Paul Jr. just before the 2025 season, only months after drafting him in the fifth round. He quickly signed to the Seattle Seahawks' practice squad but after being cut by Seattle this offseason, he's still looking for another chance in the NFL.
On Tuesday, the Green Bay Packers brought in Paul for a tryout, along with three other players. Paul has been a free agent since being waived from Seattle's injured reserve with a settlement on Aug. 31.
Paul played his college ball at Ole Miss and was an exciting pick by the Rams in the fifth round, but he never panned out. He has yet to play an NFL game but perhaps he'll get a shot with the Packers, who just lost linebacker Edgerrin Cooper to a torn
Achilles, sidelining him for the rest of the season.
The Rams drafted Paul, who's 6-1 and 235 pounds, 172nd overall in the fifth round.
