Before the Los Angeles Rams take the field for their first preseason game against the Kansas City Chiefs on Saturday, they'll hold an all-important joint practice with another team. They're scheduled to scrimmage with the Dallas Cowboys on Tuesday, which is the Rams' first of two joint practices this summer; they will also practice with the New Orleans Saints next Thursday.
No team prioritizes joint practices quite like Sean McVay's Rams, which is why this is such a crucial session for his players. Knowing veterans and key starters will get the preseason off, the Rams are giving those players a chance to compete against another opponent in these joint practices.

When is the Rams-Cowboys joint practice?
As previously
announced by the NFL, the Rams and Cowboys will practice together on Tuesday, Aug. 11.
What time does practice start?
According to the Rams' media site, practice is scheduled to run from 10:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. PT. After practice, Sean McVay and select players will meet with reporters.
Where is the joint practice being held?
The Rams are hosting the Cowboys for this practice, but because they've already left LMU and finished training camp, it will be held at the Rams' facility in Woodland Hills.
Are fans allowed to attend?
There has been no announcement from either team about fans being able to attend this practice, so it doesn't appear to be open to the public – especially considering it's being held at the Rams' headquarters in Woodland Hills instead of a training camp site.
