It was a busy offseason for the Los Angeles Rams, and not just from a roster-building perspective. The Rams were also hard at work tweaking their uniform set for the 2026 season.
Just six years after unveiling their dramatic brand refresh in 2020, the Rams made changes to their uniforms and logos this offseason, starting back in April when they updated their two primary uniforms
and removed the Bone set from their collection.Then last week, they unveiled two new alternate uniforms to go with their two primaries and Rivalries set. Altogether, the Rams have five jerseys to choose from, giving them one of the largest (and best) wardrobes in football.
USA TODAY’s Nate Davis ranked every team’s uniforms for the upcoming season and the Rams made a big
move from the previous rankings, going from No. 15 to 7.
The first team to adorn its helmets, the Rams initially painting those famous horns on their headgear back in 1948, they return to a deserved spot in the top 10. Earlier this year, they fixed the mistakes from their 2020 overhaul – mothballing the bone uniforms and gradient elements, which had included the numbers on the home jerseys. Earlier this month, they rolled out two alternate looks which hearken back to their early days in L.A. both from the 1950s and ‘60s. A team expected to be awesome in 2026 will certainly look the part.
The Rams didn’t make the top five, but they were right on the fringe of it, which was never said when they underwent their refresh in 2020. The removal of the gradient numbers and name tags on the front of the jerseys was a necessary step, as was the extension of the horns on the sleeves to resemble ram horns instead of a croissant or crescent moon.
While not perfect, the Rams don’t need to do anything else to their uniforms. They’re great the way they are, correcting missteps from six years ago.
