The Los Angeles Rams only selected five players in the 2026 draft. It was a small class to begin with, and during final cuts, two of them didn't make the 53-man roster; Tim Keenan III was waived and Keagen Trost was placed on injured reserve.
That left Ty Simpson, Max Klare and CJ Daniels as the only rookie draft picks to make the team. And in Week 1, not a single one of them was active against the 49ers in Australia. They were all healthy scratches, as Sean McVay continued to lean on his veterans.
But that changed on Monday night against the Giants. Simpson and Daniels are both inactive, but Klare is dressed and ready to go. He's the first Rams rookie draft pick to be active this season.
Whether he plays any snaps on offense remains to be seen,
but he's available if the Rams want to use him. With Puka Nacua out, maybe they'll lean more on their tight ends with 13 personnel, so perhaps Klare will be called upon.
Klare is a talented receiver at tight end, much like Terrance Ferguson is, so he has a ton of potential for Los Angeles not only this season, but for years to come.
