Similar to Puka Nacua, Kyren Williams has far outplayed expectations as a former fifth-round pick. Over the last three seasons as the Los Angeles Rams’ starting running back, he’s had at least 1,000 yards and 10 touchdowns each year, establishing himself as one of the most consistent backs in football.
EA Sports’ ratings gurus have recognized Williams’ talent, making him a top-10 running back in “Madden NFL 27” this year. Williams is an 89 overall in the game, which ranks 10th at the position. Jahmyr Gibbs leads the way at 98 overall, followed by Christian McCaffrey, Jonathan Taylor, Bijan Robinson and James Cook.
Coincidentally, Williams was ranked as the 89th-best player in the NFL on the league’s Top 100 Players of 2026 list, his third straight
year landing in the top 100.

Williams doesn’t have eye-popping speed or power, but he does the little things well. He’s elusive as a smaller back but also has the strength to run through safeties and cornerbacks.
And when the Rams get around the goal line, he has a nose for the end zone.
Big plays had been lacking for Williams in 2024 but last season, he improved his explosiveness and broke off more long runs than he ever has, taking his game to another level.
