Former Los Angeles Rams cornerback David Long Jr. is getting a shot with an NFC East team this summer. The New York Giants announced on Wednesday that they have signed Long, adding him to their camp roster.
The Rams took Long in the third round in 2019, selecting him at No. 79 overall out of Michigan. He spent four years with the Rams from 2019-2022 before signing with the Las Vegas Raiders
as a free agent in 2023.He’s bounced around the league since his time with the Rams, playing for six different teams since 2023. This is his second stint with the Giants after spending the 2024 offseason with them.
Long, 28, played 52 games but made just 10 starts with the Rams, recording one interception and 77 tackles in those four seasons. In the three years
since, he’s played just 28 games and recorded 19 tackles with one pass breakup.
