For the second consecutive week, the Los Angeles Rams will be playing on the big stage of prime time when they host the New York Giants on “Monday Night Football.” In addition to the game being broadcast on ESPN, Eli and Peyton Manning will also be hosting the “ManningCast” on ESPN2 – and a Rams icon is going to be a guest on the show.
Super Bowl champion Andrew Whitworth will join Peyton and Eli during the fourth quarter of Monday’s game between the Rams and Giants. Whitworth will share his always-fascinating insight on the game, which is even more valuable given his close ties to the Rams, even in retirement.
The “ManningCast” begins at 8:15 p.m. ET, the same time as kickoff for Monday’s game.
Whitworth played five seasons with the Rams from
2017-2021, retiring after the team won Super Bowl LVI over the Cincinnati Bengals. He was a Pro Bowler and first-team All-Pro in his first season with the Rams in 2017 and played a total of 71 games in L.A., starting all of them at left tackle.
The Rams originally signed Whitworth to a three-year deal worth $36 million during free agency and then signed him to an extension that allowed him to finish his career with the organization.
