The Los Angeles Rams pared their roster down to 53 players on Sunday but they're not done constructing their team for the 2026 season. They have a practice squad to build, and now that final cuts are done, they'll have an opportunity to either sign or claim players off waivers.
When it comes to free agents and waived players, the Rams should consider adding these six players on Monday.
RB Jaydon Blue
Blue was one of the more surprising cuts by the Cowboys. He's a second-year running back who Dallas just drafted in the fifth round in 2025, but his release could have more to do with the little things than overall talent. Still, he's an excellent receiver out of the backfield and has blazing speed, making him an intriguing running back if the Rams are looking to supplement
Kyren Williams and Blake Corum.
RB Gregory Desrosiers
The Rams saw every bit of Desrosiers' potential in the final preseason game when he rushed for 118 yards and a touchdown on only nine carries. He runs with good balance and burst through the line, breaking a number of tackles against the Rams. The Rams would probably prefer to bring back Dean Connors, but Desrosiers is a good young back out of Memphis.
OT Oli Udoh
Udoh was one of the highest-graded offensive linemen this preseason, per PFF, allowing only one pressure in four games – and that was in the Hall of Fame game. He's 29, so it's not like he's an inexperienced player who was cut, but perhaps he could provide some depth at an important position for the Rams – especially with Keagen Trost on IR and Alaric Jackson facing a potential suspension.
LB Tyrel Dodson
Dodson was a 16-game starter for the Dolphins last season and has started 43 games in his career. The Rams wouldn't be able to offer him a starting job but he could add depth behind Nate Landman and Omar Speights. While Shaun Dolac and Grant Stuard are quality backups, Dodson has starting experience.
LB Trevin Wallace
Wallace was a fairly surprising cut by the Panthers, being a 2024 third-round pick out of Kentucky. He started 12 games for them last year but now hits the waiver wire and could get an opportunity with another team. The Rams have decent depth at linebacker with the four players mentioned above, but Wallace would give them another young defender to develop.
CB Bralyn Lux
Lux finished the preseason on a high note with a team-high seven tackles and a PFF grade of 70.6. He allowed five receptions on six targets in the game, but they went for just 20 total yards, so he limited the damage. The Rams don't have a ton of depth at cornerback with only four guys on the roster, but if they want another guy who can cover the slot, Lux should be worth considering.
