Barring a big change, the Los Angeles Rams will be without Puka Nacua for the second week in a row. Nacua, who's dealing with a hip injury, will be listed as doubtful to play against the Denver Broncos on Sunday night, Sean McVay said Friday.
Nacua has not practiced since last Thursday, continuing to nurse the hip injury that popped up that day. The Rams are understandably playing it safe with their star receiver, and as disappointing as it is that Nacua probably won't face the Broncos, there is optimism he'll be back soon.
McVay said the Rams are hopeful he'll be able to play against the Eagles in Week 4, which is another road game. The Rams are not considering putting him on injured reserve, which would force him to miss four more games.

With Nacua most likely out, the Rams will turn to Konata Mumpfield, Xavier Smith and Tutu Atwell again. Jordan Whittington is dealing with an injury of his own so he may not be available, either. Additionally, the Rams will probably lean on their tight ends, just as they did against the Giants last week.
In his only game this season, Nacua caught five passes for 74 yards on nine targets against the 49ers in Australia.
