Blake Grupe passed his first test as the Los Angeles Rams' new kicker, drilling a 44-yard field goal to put his team up 3-0 over the Arizona Cardinals. Unfortunately, his first game with the Rams may have been cut short due to injury.
On the ensuing kickoff, Grupe was forced to make a tackle along the sideline and took a huge shot from the returner, sending him tumbling to the turf. Grupe was slow to get up and after trying to limp to the Rams' sideline, he took a knee at midfield.
He was taken to the locker room for further evaluation and the Rams announced shortly after that he is doubtful to return due to a knee injury.
Here's a look at the shot Grupe took from the returner, which caused the injury.

The Rams signed Grupe off the Jets' practice squad last week, replacing Harrison Mevis as the Rams' kicker.
Mevis was cut after missing two field goals against the Bills in the Rams' Week 5 loss, including a 48-yarder in overtime that would have won the game.
