For the first time in nearly three years, Aaron Donald plans to suit up for the Los Angeles Rams.

Donald is expected to make his season debut against the New York Giants on Monday night, which will be his first game since retiring from the NFL following the 2023 season. When asked by reporters on Friday whether he’ll play against the Giants, he said, “That’s the plan.”

Donald rejoined the Rams just before final roster cuts in August, signing a one-year deal worth $20 million – with a max value of $30 million.

He skipped the season opener against the 49ers in Australia, but he wasn't going to miss the team's home opener at SoFi Stadium

on Monday Night Football.

Donald was out of football for the last two years after retiring, but he got the itch to play again this offseason after the Rams acquired Myles Garrett from the Browns. After ramping up his workouts all summer, he officially announced his return at the end of August.

The Rams are hosting the Giants on Monday night, with kickoff set for 8:15 p.m. ET on ESPN.
