The Los Angeles Rams made a big change this week by cutting Harrison Mevis and signing Blake Grupe off the New York Jets' practice squad. Though those moves were reported and confirmed by Sean McVay on Tuesday, the Rams formally announced them on Wednesday.
Additionally, the team shuffled its practice squad with three more transactions. They have signed outside linebacker Garrett Nelson to the practice squad, and also used an exception to add cornerback Damarion Williams to the practice squad. They cut edge rusher Jamie Sheriff to make room on the practice squad.

Nelson has bounced around the league since entering as an undrafted free agent in 2023. He started out with the Dolphins and has played for five total teams, with the Rams being his sixth. He has yet to appear in a regular-season game as a pro and was last with the Saints in August before being cut.
Williams was a fourth-round pick by the Ravens in 2022 and has had stints with the Seahawks and Bucs in the last few years. He's played 15 games in his career, 14 of which came as a rookie in 2022. He hasn't played a game since the 2023 season.
