The Los Angeles Rams stumbled at home on Sunday, suffering a stunning loss to the Arizona Cardinals, 18-16. The offense was stagnant all day until the very end, while the defense struggled to get off the field on third down.
Though Myles Garrett was still out and Trent McDuffie was sidelined by a groin injury
, the Rams were close to being at full strength health-wise. And yet, they couldn't find a way to beat the last-place Cardinals.Surprisingly, Kobie Turner played a very limited role in this game, seeing just 23 total snaps on defense. It was his fewest snaps in a game since Week 17 of the 2024 season when the Rams rested starters.
On offense, Tutu Atwell was a healthy scratch after operating as the No. 3 receiver last week, opening the door
for Konata Mumpfield to step into that role once again.
Below is a full breakdown of the Rams' snap counts from Sunday's loss.
Offense

Kyren Williams played 72% of the offensive snaps compared to just 28% for Blake Corum, but he had just one more total touch (13) than Corum did (12).
Tyler Higbee continues to be the Rams' top tight end, playing 83% of the snaps – 21% more than Colby Parkinson, who may still be battling knee and shoulder pain. Davis Allen played 31% of the snaps as the third tight end.
At wide receiver, Mumpfield played the third-most snaps (27) behind Puka Nacua (52) and Davante Adams (43). Jordan Whittington's role was minimal, playing only eight total snaps in the loss. With Atwell inactive, the Rams turned to Mumpfield.
Defense

Turner's limited role was unexpected because he hadn't been on the injury report and there was no injury reported during the game. It's highly unlikely the Rams cut down his playing time for performance reasons, so it's probable that he wasn't feeling 100% during the game. Aaron Donald played 58% of the snaps, which is right at his average for the season. Tyler Davis (28) and Poona Ford (25) each played more snaps than Turner, while Ty Hamilton played just five fewer than him.
With McDuffie out, Josh Wallace stepped in and played every snap alongside Jaylen Watson, who also played 100% of the defensive snaps. Emmanuel Forbes Jr. played 16 snaps as the third cornerback. At safety, Quentin Lake and Kam Curl both played every snap despite the fact that Curl was battling an ankle injury coming into the game. Kam Kinchens worked as the third safety, playing 67%, while Jaylen McCollough saw a major spike in his playing time; he played one snap last week and 32 on Sunday.
Nate Landman played 99% of the snaps and Omar Speights was out there for just 29%, which was a season-low for Speights.
Byron Young and Josaiah Stewart played 79% and 76%, respectively, as the top two edge rushers. Wesley Bailey got on the field for 17 plays, with Desjuan Johnson playing 15 snaps.
