The Los Angeles Rams picked up a significant advantage before their matchup against the Arizona Cardinals, as rookie running back Jeremiyah Love has been ruled out for the contest.
According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, Love's absence is due to an ankle injury. Backup running back Tyler Allgeier is expected to take over as the starting running back, with Zonovan Knight serving in a backup role.

Love, the third overall pick in the 2026 NFL Draft, hasn't gotten his feet under him yet. However, his speed in Mike LaFleur's offense would've been a dangerous tool to attack the Rams' defensive weaknesses. Plus, LaFleur is the Rams' former offensive coordinator and knows the defense
inside and out.
Love has 67 carries for 245 yards and one touchdown this season. Allgeier has 35 carries for 119 yards and one touchdown as the Cardinals' RB2.
With the news, the Cardinals, who have the third-most passing attempts in football, will likely go to the air even more. Funny enough, the Rams lead the NFL in passing attempts, indicating both teams' secondaries will be under siege on Sunday.
