How much the Los Angeles Rams play receiver Puka Nacua is up for debate heading into Week 4.
First, The Ringer/Netflix Sports' Tom Pelissero reported this week that Nacua could be on a"stricter snap count than usual." Less than 24 hours later,ESPN's Adam Schefter refuted that idea and reported the Rams "do not intend" to limit their receiver's snaps in his first game back from a hip/groin injury.
The Rams want to see Nacua's conditioning level once he's out on the field against the Eagles — and that always could impact his snap count — but they enter Sunday with no intention of limiting his snaps, according to sources.
Rams head coach Sean McVay told reporters this week that they were still in the process of figuring out how to manage Nacua's workload
"In terms of the snap count, that's the thing that we have to be willing to navigate," McVay said. "But we've got confidence in some other guys that have played meaningful snaps in his absence.
Nacua missed the Rams' Week 2 and Week 3 games after the injury popped up following the Week 1 loss to the San Francisco 49ers. He caught five of nine targets for 74 yards and no touchdowns in Week 1. In three games against Philadelphia, whom the Rams face in Week 4, Nacua has caught 27 of 39 targets for 300 yards and one score.
