The Los Angeles Rams are close to getting one of their top rookies back from injury. On Thursday, they designated Keagen Trost to return from injured reserve, officially opening his 21-day practice window.
Now that the window has been opened, Trost can practice for the next three weeks. If the Rams wish to activate him from IR, they must do so in this 21-day window. If he's not activated by then, he will remain on IR all season.
Trost has been out all season after injuring his hamstring in the first quarter of the preseason opener. He landed on IR during final roster cuts but could now be active for the first time on Sunday against the Arizona Cardinals. The Rams could use him, too.

Alaric Jackson will miss one game due to a suspension, making David Quessenberry their starting left tackle. Trost will provide depth at both tackle spots in the event of an injury.
Los Angeles drafted Trost in the third round this year. He finished his college career at Missouri in 2025, ranking as one of the best tackles in the country and earning All-American honors.
