The Los Angeles Rams announced on Thursday that they have nominated Matthew Stafford for the 2026 Salute to Service Award. Each team nominates one player or member of the organization for the award, and Stafford is the Rams' nominee for the second time in the last three years; they nominated Andrew Whitworth last year.
Stafford is a pillar in the community and has been since being drafted by the Lions in 2009. He's active in the military community, always supporting servicemen and women.
Most recently, he and his wife Kelly hosted 20 Navy SEALs at the Rams' "Row of Honor" for their game against the Chargers.
“Obviously, they're ultra important to us being able to live the lives that we live," he said of hosting the Navy SEALs. "Close to me, my
grandfather served. I've got a brother-in-law that served so a lot of people that I know closely that mean a lot to me have sacrificed a lot to help us live the way that we live and so I'm always trying to give back any opportunity we can to those people.”
We are so proud to announce that Matthew Stafford is our 2026 nominee for the #SalutetoService Award. 👏
