The Eagles remain within striking distance of the NFC East lead after the Giants and Commanders tied 27-27 Sunday, completing a Week 5 in which no division team won.
Philadelphia fell to 2-3 after a 19-17 loss to Jacksonville in London, but New York’s tie left the division-leading Giants at 3-1-1. The Eagles and Cowboys, both 2-3, trail New York by 1½ games, while Washington is 1-3-1. Dallas opened the division’s disappointing week with a 24-16 home loss to Tampa Bay on Thursday night. With Philadelphia’s defeat and Sunday’s tie, the NFC East finished Week 5 at 0-2-2.
For the Eagles, the standings offer a glimmer of hope after a third straight loss. A Giants victory would have left Philadelphia two games behind the division leader. Instead, New
York gained only a half-game on the Eagles and Cowboys. That does little to ease Philadelphia's frustration with the finish against Jacksonville. Jake Elliott’s field goal put the Eagles ahead with eight seconds remaining, but a long kickoff return set up Cam Little’s winning kick.

Still, the division race remains manageable with 12 games left on Philadelphia’s schedule. The Eagles have already beaten Washington and have five divisional games remaining, including both meetings with New York and Dallas.
Philadelphia needs to stop its losing streak, but a winless week across the NFC East kept its pursuit of the division title within reach.
