The Philadelphia Eagles
will miss six players in Sunday's Week 9 matchup against the New York Giants, including two starting-caliber wide receivers and several key defensive contributors. Philadelphia released its final injury report Friday, ruling out DeVonta Smith (hamstring), Dontayvion Wicks (ankle), Jihaad Campbell (hamstring/quad), Jonathan Jones (hamstring), Britain Covey (knee), and Michael Carter II (abdomen).Backup quarterback Tanner McKee is questionable with a rib injury after being limited in Friday's practice. The injury adds another development to Philadelphia's quarterback situation after head coach Nick Sirianni announced that Joe Milton III would replace McKee as the starter against New York.
The Eagles enter Sunday's game at
2-6, on a six-game losing streak, with an offense averaging just 17.1 points per game.

Eagles will be without DeVonta Smith and Dontayvion Wicks
Smith and Wicks will miss another game after being sidelined by their respective injuries. Both receivers couldn't practice all week, leaving Philadelphia without two key options for Milton's first start with the Eagles.
Smith's absence is particularly significant for an offense already struggling to generate explosive plays and sustain drives. The Eagles are averaging just 265.3 total yards per game, ranking near the bottom of the NFL, and have failed to score more than 21 points in any of their last six games.
With Smith and Wicks unavailable, Philadelphia will need increased production from rookie Makai Lemon, Darius Cooper, and the remaining healthy receivers. Tight ends Dallas Goedert and Eli Stowers could also play important roles as offensive coordinator Sean Mannion attempts to create manageable passing opportunities for Milton.
Covey's absence further limits Philadelphia's receiving depth and removes an option in the return game.
Jihaad Campbell, Jonathan Jones and Michael Carter II ruled out
The Eagles will also be shorthanded defensively, with Campbell, Jones and Carter II unavailable against a Giants offense led by quarterback J.J. McCarthy. Campbell has been dealing with hamstring and quadriceps injuries, while Jones remains sidelined with a hamstring issue. Carter II has not recovered from an abdomen injury that forced him out of last week's loss to Washington.
Their absences place additional responsibility on Zack Baun, Cooper DeJean, Quinyon Mitchell and Philadelphia's remaining defensive personnel.
The Eagles did receive some encouraging developments elsewhere on the injury report. Baun, Jordan Davis, Landon Dickerson, Dallas Goedert, Jonathan Greenard and rookie right tackle Markel Bell were among the players listed as full participants Friday.
Saquon Barkley limited, Tanner McKee questionable
Barkley was listed as a limited participant Friday because of hamstring and back injuries, but he does not carry a game-day injury designation. His availability matters as Philadelphia tries to establish a more productive rushing attack against his former team. New York enters Week 9 allowing 128.1 rushing yards per game and 4.8 yards per carry. McKee's questionable designation also creates uncertainty behind Milton. The former Stanford quarterback was limited Friday after being listed as a full participant earlier in the week.
The Eagles will face the Giants on Sunday at 1 p.m. ET at Lincoln Financial Field before entering their Week 10 bye. With six players ruled out and a new starting quarterback taking over, Philadelphia faces another significant challenge as it attempts to end its losing streak.
