"Being named the NFLPA Community MVP means everything to me," Carter said in a statement released by the players association.
The event featured educational discussions centered on maternal health, prenatal care, mental health, and fatherhood. Carter participated in the fatherhood panel, emphasizing the importance of fathers supporting healthy pregnancies and childhood development.
The 40 mothers received car seats, portable cribs, diapers, and other necessities, along with health education plans designed to connect families with ongoing care. Carter's Foundation has made maternal health central to its mission, with Baby Shower on the Block providing resources to families facing barriers to accessing medical care and essential supplies. The Eagles defensive back previously hosted an event in Georgia, where he and his wife, Alli, a labor and delivery nurse, participated in discussions about parenthood and maternal health. The couple also donated more than 3,000 diapers to mothers in need.

Through three Baby Shower on the Block events this year, the foundation has distributed more than 15,000 supplies to families.
Carter established the nonprofit in November 2025 alongside his parents, Donna and Michael Carter Sr., focusing on physical, mental, social, financial, and spiritual wellness. The organization also supports youth development and community safety initiatives. Earlier this year, Carter donated $5,000 to the basketball program at South Paulding High School, his alma mater, and helped assemble 600 trauma kits for first responders assisting children during emergencies.
The Week 8 recognition also makes Carter eligible for the NFLPA's Alan Page Community Award, the union's highest honor for outstanding community service, which carries an additional $100,000 donation.
For Carter, the recognition extends beyond an individual accomplishment, highlighting the importance of providing families with meaningful resources and ongoing support. His latest community initiative has now earned national recognition while helping the Michael Carter II Foundation continue expanding its impact.
