The old, wily veteran Case Keenum did not need a game-winning drive. He gave the Bears the leadon their first possession and never let it slip.
Keenum completed 24 of 34 passes for 247 yards and two touchdowns in Chicago’s 27-7 win over the Eagles on Monday night. He found Luther Burden III for an 8-yard score to finish an 11-play opening drive, then connected with Kalif Raymond for a 41-yard touchdown in the third quarter. Raymond finished with six catches for 90 yards.
Philadelphia had a chance to reset after Jalen Hurts’ touchdown sneak cut the deficit to 10-7 just before halftime. Instead, the Eagles went scoreless after the break. Chicago added a field goal and two touchdowns while holding Philadelphia to 248 total yards. Keenum was particularly
effective when Philadelphia sent extra pressure. He completed all nine of his passes against the blitz for 133 yards, according to Deniz Selman, repeatedly finding room in the middle of the field. The Eagles did not record a sack, and Keenum’s ability to get the ball out kept Chicago on schedule long enough to turn a three-point halftime lead into a comfortable win.

Overall, the Bears finished with a 36:53 to 23:07 advantage in possession and committed no turnovers. Keenum’s steady night gave Chicago room to control the pace while Philadelphia’s mistakes kept mounting.
