data compiled following Sunday's cutdown deadline, 14 of the 22 starters from Philadelphia's Super Bowl-winning team remain on the roster. Eight offensive starters are still in the building, while six defensive starters continue anchoring Vic Fangio's unit.
Maintaining continuity while constantly refreshing a roster is one of the NFL's most difficult balancing acts. General manager Howie Roseman has built a reputation for making difficult decisions before sentiment can interfere with long-term planning.

The Eagles still feature cornerstone players such as Jalen Hurts, Saquon Barkley, DeVonta Smith, Dallas Goedert, Lane Johnson, Jordan Mailata, Landon Dickerson, Cam Jurgens, Jalen Carter, Quinyon Mitchell and Cooper DeJean.
Those players form the backbone of a roster that still carries championship expectations entering 2026,despite the Los Angeles Rams' efforts. The continuity extends beyond the starting lineup. Jake Elliott remains with the organization as one of only two remaining players from the Eagles' Super Bowl LII championship team (Lane Johnson is the other). Elliott's presence serves as a reminder of how much has changed, but it also highlights the consistency Philadelphia has maintained throughout multiple roster cycles.
14 of the Eagles' expected 22 starters from Super Bowl LIX are still on the roster. In an era defined by salary-cap casualties, free-agent departures, and constant roster churn, that's a significant number.
Roseman has spent years proving that sustaining success requires more than simply keeping everyone together. It requires identifying which players are foundational, replacing the pieces that leave, and resisting the temptation to cling to the past for sentimental reasons. The Eagles have lost talent since hoisting the Lombardi Trophy, but their initial 53-man roster suggests the organization's championship blueprint remains largely intact.
Whether that foundation is strong enough to support another title run will be determined over the coming months. For now, however, Philadelphia enters the 2026 season looking less like a team trying to recapture what it once had and more like one still building from it.
