The Eagles have five days to fix the problems Chicago exposed before another experienced quarterback arrives at Lincoln Financial Field.
Matthew Stafford and the Ramsvisit Sunday after Philadelphia’s 27-7 loss Monday night. Los Angeles is 1-2 following a 30-26 defeat at Denver, but its record understates the challenge. The Rams lead the NFL in yards per game at 417.7 and rank second in passing offense at 284 yards per game. Davante Adams has 358 receiving yards and two touchdowns through three games. He caught seven passes for 137 yards against Denver while Puka Nacua missed his second consecutive game. Konata Mumpfield also supplied a late 48-yard touchdown, showing Stafford has another option when defenses concentrate on Adams.
Nacua’s availability
remains a major variable. Sean McVay said Monday the Rams are hopeful he can return. Nacua’s injury has been listed as a hip issue, though McVay described it as groin soreness. Philadelphia must improve after allowing Case Keenum to throw for 247 yards and two touchdowns without taking a sack. The offense also needs to protect the ball after three giveaways in Chicago.
The Eagles have useful history on their side: Nick Sirianni is 4-0 against McVay, and Philadelphia has won 10 of the teams’ last 11 meetings, including playoffs. Sunday will test whether the Eagles can turn that familiarity into a cleaner performance on a short week.
