Cooper DeJean’s growing profile now includes a partnership no Eagles player or NFL defensive back has held before.
The All-Pro cornerback has joined Red Bull’s athlete roster, becoming the first defensive back and first Philadelphia Eagle to do so, according to his agency, Athletes First. The agency also said DeJean is the sixth NFL player and only the second active NFL player to join Red Bull’s roster. The announcement adds another milestone for the 23-year-old, who has gone from a second-round draft pick to one of Philadelphia’s most accomplished young defenders in two seasons.
Red Bull’s athlete profile highlights the versatility that helped launch his football career. At OABCIG High School in Iowa, DeJean competed in football, basketball,
baseball and track. He played quarterback and defensive back before continuing his college career at Iowa. The Eagles selected DeJean with the No. 40 pick in the 2024 NFL draft. He delivered one of the defining plays of their championship run, returning a Patrick Mahomes interception 38 yards for a touchdown in Super Bowl LIX on his 22nd birthday.
DeJean followed that performance by earning first-team Associated Press All-Pro honors for the 2025 season.
Now entering his third NFL season, he remains a central piece of Philadelphia’s secondary alongside Quinyon Mitchell. The Red Bull partnership expands his presence beyond football while highlighting an athletic background that stretches well beyond the defensive backfield.
