The Philadelphia Eagles will look to end their five-game losing streak when they travel to Northwest Stadium for a Week 8 matchup against the Washington Commanders on Sunday Night Football. Philadelphia (2-5) is coming off a 38-21 loss to the Dallas Cowboys on Monday night, marking its fifth straight loss after opening the season with two wins. The Eagles now turn their attention to a Washington team they defeated 24-22 in the season opener, with their second NFC East meeting carrying significant implications for both teams.
NBC will carry the matchup on national television, with Mike Tirico handling play-by-play and Cris Collinsworth serving as the analyst. Melissa Stark will report from the sidelines. Kickoff is scheduled for 8:20 p.m. ET on Sunday,
Nov. 1, and will stream on Peacock.
Unlike the regional afternoon broadcasts on CBS and Fox, Philadelphia's game against Washington will be available nationally and will not be subject to the geographic coverage restrictions reflected on the weekly television maps.
The Eagles enter the matchup looking for more consistent offensive production after struggling to sustain drives with Tanner McKee replacing Jalen Hurts at quarterback. Philadelphia has improved in the red zone, but its inability to consistently generate scoring opportunities has contributed to a disappointing start.
Washington offers the Eagles a chance to regain momentum before returning home to face the New York Giants in Week 9. Philadelphia will then have its bye week before beginning the second half of its schedule.
According to the weekly television coverage maps provided by 506 Sports, CBS will broadcast six games across its two Sunday windows, while Fox will carry five games in its single-header window.
