The Tennessee Titans used the 2026 offseason to build a more disciplined, physical team around quarterback Cam Ward. Tennessee hired Robert Saleh as head coach, giving the organization an established defensive identity. Brian Daboll took over the offense, while Gus Bradley and John Fassel joined the staff to oversee defense and special teams, respectively.
Those changes came with significant roster turnover.
Ward remains the centerpiece after an uneven rookie season, but Mitchell Trubisky replaced the previous quarterback options behind him. Tennessee added Wan’Dale Robinson to give Ward a quick slot target and drafted Carnell Tate to provide size and long-term potential outside. The Titans also continued rebuilding their offensive line. Austin
Schlottmann is listed as the starting center, while rookie Fernando Carmona Jr. earned the right guard position. Dan Moore Jr., Peter Skoronski, and JC Latham return at the other starting spots.
Tennessee’s defensive transformation may be more significant.
Jermaine Johnson II joined Jeffery Simmons and John Franklin-Myers on a talented defensive front. Alontae Taylor and Cor’Dale Flott became the starting outside cornerbacks, while Cody Barton joined a linebacker group that includes Cedric Gray and rookie Anthony Hill Jr. Hill recorded 16 tackles in Tennessee’s season-opening loss to the New York Jets.
The Titans also drafted edge defender Keldric Faulk, running back Nicholas Singleton and center Pat Coogan. Second-year returner Chimere Dike remains one of the NFL’s most dangerous special-teams players.
Tennessee is still attempting to turn those changes into results. The Titans scored 10 points and allowed Ward to be sacked three times in Week 1. However, the Eagles will face a roster with more defensive talent, additional receiving options, and a coaching staff still installing new systems.
