The Eagles could be without Lane Johnson for the next couple of days, the next few weeks, or forever, depending on how things pan out and how the All-Pro right tackle decides to proceed with his life, let alone his career.
Eagles coach Nick Sirianni said Monday that he had “no update” on Lane Johnson, leaving the veteran right tackle’s availability for Sunday’s game against the Jacksonville Jaguars in London uncertain. Johnson was listed as questionable Sunday because of a personal matter before being ruled inactive against the Rams. He also missed four training camp practices because of a personal matter. No timetable has been announced, so an extended absence remains possible, but the Eagles have not confirmed it.

Rookie Markel Bell started at right tackle against Los Angeles. Johnson has started 171 games since Philadelphia selected him fourth overall in the 2013 NFL draft. He started the first three games this season after a Lisfranc injury limited him to 10 games in 2025, and he'll start an immediate five-year countdown to the Hall of Fame whenever he decides to call it a career.
