Wins in the NFL are hard to come by, so while the product on the field was disappointing at times, Nick Sirianni surely won't frown about being one of the league's undefeated teams. The Philadelphia Eaglesneeded a touchdown with nine seconds remaining to defeat the Tennessee Titans 24-20 and improve to 2-0.
Here is the Week 2 report card.
Quarterback: B-minus
Jalen Hurts completed 26 of 37 passes for 264 yards and two touchdowns. His winning drive was excellent, but two interceptions kept him from a higher grade.
Running backs: C-minus
Tank Bigsby scored a touchdown but gained only 33 yards on 13 carries. Will Shipley added 24 yards, while a stinger limited Saquon Barkley. Philadelphia averaged 2.8 yards per carry.
Receivers: A
DeVonta Smith dominated
with 10 catches for 117 yards and a touchdown. Dontayvion Wicks added 74 yards, while Darius Cooper caught the winning score.
Offensive line: B-minus
The Eagles converted 11 of 18 third downs and controlled possession for 36:25. However, the running game struggled, and Hurts was sacked three times.
Defensive line: B-minus
Philadelphia recorded two sacks and six tackles for loss. Nolan Smith Jr. and Jalen Carter supplied the sacks, but Tennessee averaged 4.2 yards per rush.
Linebackers: B-plus
Jihaad Campbell led the defense with 10 tackles. Zack Baun contributed four tackles and one stop for loss.
Secondary: C-plus
The Eagles held Cam Ward to 13 completions and no touchdown passes, but allowed several explosive gains.
Special teams: A
Jake Elliott made a 58-yard field goal, Britain Covey averaged 15.5 yards on two punt returns, and Braden Mann placed both punts inside the 20.
Overall: B
