Jonathan Greenard is leaving the possibility of playing against the Dallas Cowboys open, but the Eagles outside linebacker could remain a question mark until Monday night. Greenard said Saturday that he will be a game-time decision because of an ankle injury, according to The Philadelphia Inquirer’s Jeff McLane. His comments followed another absence from practice
as Philadelphia completed its on-field preparations for Dallas.Greenard was listed as limited Thursday before being listed as a nonparticipant Friday. McLane reported an apparent setback, and Greenard remained absent from the portion of Saturday’s practice reporters could see.
His availability matters for a defensive front already managing several injuries. Nolan Smith remained sidelined
with a concussion, while Jalyx Hunt and AJ Epenesa were listed as limited Friday with knee/ankle and back injuries, respectively.
Philadelphia needs pressure against Dak Prescott, who threw four interceptions over Dallas’ past two games. Prescott threw for 574 passing yards on 96 attempts during that stretch, averaging about 6 yards per attempt.

Having Greenard available would give the Eagles another option to attack Dallas’ protection and distribute snaps across their edge rotation. His comments indicate that he has not ruled out playing, although his assessment is separate from the team’s official game designation.
The Eagles and Cowboys enter Monday’s matchup at 2-4, with Philadelphia attempting to end a four-game losing streak.
