Hollywood Brown is a healthy scratch against the Panthers as the Eagles choose Elijah Moore at wide receiver and Tanner McKee at quarterback.
Brown had been sidelined with an ankle injury, but he carried no game designation into the matchup. His absence is a lineup decision as Philadelphia prepares for Tanner McKee’s first start of the season. The Eagles are getting DeVonta Smith back after he missed two games with a hamstring injury, and Dontayvion Wicks is also available. Their presence gives McKee two established options as offensive coordinator Sean Mannion adjusts the passing game without Jalen Hurts.
Moore will dress alongside Philadelphia’s other available receivers, including Darius Cooper and Makai Lemon. How much work he receives will depend
on the personnel packages Mannion uses against Carolina. Brown is the Eagles’ lone healthy scratch. The other inactive players are dealing with injuries or, in Joe Milton’s case, serving as the emergency third quarterback.
Philadelphia enters the game at 2-3 and is trying to end a three-game losing streak.
