Eagles inactives against the Rams
- WR Hollywood Brown.
- WR DeVonta Smith.
- QB Cole Payton.
- S Marcus Epps.
- LB Zack Baun.
- T Lane Johnson.
- T Fred Johnson.
- TE Dallas Goedert.
Brown, Smith, Epps, Baun, Fred Johnson, and Goedert had already been ruled out with injuries. Lane Johnson’s absence creates another challenge for an offense trying to rebound from Monday night’s 27-7 loss in Chicago.
Philadelphia must adjust without both Johnsons
With Fred Johnson also out with a knee injury, the Eagles must look to rookie Markel Bell
to replace Lane Johnson at right tackle. His absence removes one of Philadelphia’s most dependable pass protectors against a Rams defense that will test the reshuffled line.
Jalen Hurts also will be without Smith, Brown and Goedert, increasing the importance of Dontayvion Wicks, Makai Lemon and Philadelphia’s remaining receiving options. The Eagles elevated tight ends Zach Ertz and Josiah Deguara for the matchup.
Defensively, Philadelphia must replace Baun at linebacker and Epps at safety against Matthew Stafford’s passing attack.
The Eagles enter at 2-1, seeking a rebound against a 1-2 Rams team. Kickoff is scheduled for 1 p.m. ET on FOX.
