In a move that appears to respond to the Willie Lampkin deal, the Rams are poaching a talented undrafted free agent rookie from the Eagles' practice squad. Last August, Philadelphia claimed Willie Lampkin for his potential, and days after his arrival, the former Rams center was placed on Injured Reserve. Now over a year later, Los Angeles got revenge. After getting elevated in Week 2, the Rams are signing Eagles undrafted defensive back Maximus Pulley to their active roster, according to Ryan Fowler of NBC Sports Philadelphia. The reported move comes days after Philadelphia elevated Pulley for its Week 2 win at Tennessee, putting him in position to make his NFL debut. The teams had not announced the transaction when Fowler reported it.

Philadelphia signed Pulley as an undrafted free agent out of Wofford after the 2026 draft. He earned a place on the practice squad following a preseason in which he ranked third on the Eagles with 16 tackles. He also had three solo tackles on special teams.
Pulley was elevated for the Titans game to provide safety and special-teams depth while Andrew Mukuba was listed as questionable with a knee injury. Mukuba ultimately played, but Philadelphia’s decision to elevate Pulley showed the trust he had earned in a short time. The Rams are reportedly giving him an immediate spot on their 53-man roster and are likely looking for Intel with a Week 4 matchup looming.
In his final season at Wofford, he recorded 85 tackles, defended 10 passes and intercepted five, returning two for touchdowns. He was an FCS All-American and a finalist for the Buck Buchanan Award, which recognizes the subdivision’s top defensive player.
