The Eagles officially added Evan Neal to their practice squad Thursday, giving the former Giants first-round pick a fresh opportunity as Philadelphia continues adjusting its offensive line. Philadelphia also signed running back Jaydon Blue and linebacker Anfernee Orji to the practice squad and waived tight end E.J. Jenkins.
Neal’s signing followed a Wednesday tryout and his appearance at Thursday’s practice. The seventh overall pick in the 2022 draft, Neal made 27 starts in 29 regular-season appearances for the Giants, with every start coming at right tackle. New York released him during final roster cuts in August.
The Eagles listed Neal as a guard in their announcement, making his development on the interior worth monitoring. His addition provides
another player for offensive line coach Chris Kuper to evaluate following significant personnel changes up front.

Blue returns after Philadelphia waived him Tuesday. The Eagles had promoted him to the active roster before Sunday’s loss to Carolina, when injuries left the backfield short-handed. His return provides depth as Saquon Barkley works toward a possible Monday night appearance against Dallas.
Orji also rejoins the organization after being released from Philadelphia’s practice squad earlier this month.
Jenkins’ departure is now official. He appeared in all six games this season, making two starts without recording a reception. Across 16 career regular-season appearances with the Eagles, Jenkins has one catch for seven yards and a touchdown.
The moves give Philadelphia additional practice squad options as it prepares to host Dallas and attempts to end a four-game losing streak.
