The Jacksonville Jaguars are a very talented football team. They'll arrive in London with one of the NFL's hottest quarterbacks, a dangerous young running back, and several playmakers on both sides of the ball. What if someone told you that might actually be the least of the Philadelphia Eagles' concerns this week?
Philadelphia obviously has its own problems. Injuries continue to pile up. The offense is searching for consistency. Two consecutive losses have raised uncomfortable questions about the season's direction. Unfortunately for the Eagles, the schedule and their next opponent offer little sympathy.
The Jaguars enter Week 5 with a 3-1 record and growing confidence. Trevor Lawrence looks like the guy most thought he could become. The rushing
attack has found balance behind an emerging young star. Defensively, Jacksonville features several difference-makers capable of wrecking a game plan. If the Eagles hope to leave London with a victory, slowing these Jaguars stars will be near the top of the priority list.
Trevor Lawrence, quarterback
A month into the season, Trevor Lawrence is starting to enter conversations once reserved for the league's elite quarterbacks. Jacksonville's signal caller has looked comfortable running Liam Coen's offense, making quick decisions and consistently attacking defenses downfield.
He enters Week 5 off another strong outing and appears to be playing with the confidence that has fueled the Jaguars' fast start. Philadelphia's secondary has been tested often this season. If the Eagles allow Lawrence to get comfortable early, it could become a long afternoon.
Bhayshul Tuten, running back
Every season, a player emerges from relative obscurity and becomes one of the league's biggest surprises. Bhayshul Tuten may be that player in 2026.
He enters Week 5 with 60 carries, 277 rushing yards, two touchdowns, and a long list of first-down conversions. Jacksonville's offense thrives when it stays ahead of schedule, and Tuten has become a major reason why. The Eagles' defensive front must keep him from consistently creating manageable second-and-third downs.
Travis Hunter, wide receiver/cornerback
Many believed Travis Hunter would eventually have to choose a side of the football. So far, he has ignored that suggestion.
Hunter has already compiled 13 tackles, an interception, and four pass breakups while continuing to contribute offensively whenever Jacksonville calls his number. His offensive statistics won't overwhelm anyone, but that misses the point. Every snap he plays creates matchup challenges and keeps defenses alert.
If Hunter enters the offensive huddle, Philadelphia cannot afford to treat him as a decoy. Simply put, he is nothing like that.
Foyesade Oluokun, linebacker
Few defenders impact games as much as Foyesade Oluokun. The veteran linebacker has recorded 24 tackles, two interceptions, two pass breakups, and one forced fumble in four games. He consistently finds the football and rarely leaves the field.
Whether defending the run or dropping into coverage, Oluokun is one of the defense's emotional leaders and most productive players. The Eagles must account for him at all times.
Parker Washington, wide receiver
While much of the attention focuses on Lawrence and Jacksonville's running game, Parker Washington continues to quietly produce. He enters Week 5 with 16 receptions, 228 receiving yards, and two touchdowns. Nine of those catches have resulted in first downs, making him one of the Jaguars' most reliable chain movers.
Washington may not receive the same national attention as some of Jacksonville's bigger names. That matters little. He has become a dependable target in critical situations.
Josh Hines-Allen, EDGE
Philadelphia's offensive line injuries make this matchup impossible to ignore. Josh Hines-Allen enters Week 5 with 15 tackles, 1.5 sacks, and a forced fumble. While those numbers may not jump off the page, he consistently pressures quarterbacks.
With Markel Bell expected to continue handling significant responsibilities and the Eagles still working through offensive line adjustments, Hines-Allen represents one of Jacksonville's most dangerous defensive threats.
The Eagles don't necessarily need to eliminate every big play from Jacksonville's stars. That's rarely realistic in today's NFL. They do, however, need to limit the explosive moments that can swing momentum.
If Philadelphia can keep Lawrence uncomfortable, slow Tuten's production, and keep Hunter, Washington, Oluokun, and Hines-Allen from taking over key stretches of the game, the Eagles will have a much better chance of ending their losing streak and returning home from London with a desperately needed win.
