The Philadelphia Eagles finalized their 53-man roster, completing cuts and injury moves before the NFL’s 6 p.m. deadline.
Philadelphia’s biggest surprise came at quarterback, where Jalen Hurts, Andy Dalton, Tanner McKee and rookie Cole Payton all survived. The Eagles also kept injured edge rusher Jonathan Greenard on the active roster, preserving the possibility of an early-season return.
Cornerback Jakorian Bennett and tight end Grant Calcaterra were placed on injured reserve with return designations and must miss at least four games. The roster features 27 offensive players, 23 defenders and three specialists, although additional changes could follow after Monday’s waiver period.
