Jalen Carter recorded two strip-sacks of Trevor Lawrence on Sunday, delivering a rare performance for a defensive tackle in the Eagles’ 19-17 loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars in London. According to Ryan Fowler, Carter became the second defensive tackle to record two strip-sacks in a game since Chris Jones did so in 2020. Fowler reported that Carter faced double teams on 40% of his snaps.
The two sacks pushed Carter’s season total to three through five games, matching his production from all 11 games he played in 2025. Philadelphia’s defensive tackle disrupted Jacksonville early, stripping Lawrence on the opening possession before forcing another fumble later in the first half. The Jaguars recovered the second fumble, losing 10 yards.
Despite
being doubled on 40% of snaps, Jalen Carter today became just the second DT with two strip sacks in a game since Chris Jones in 2020. He’s now got three sacks in five weeks matching his total from all of 2025 (11 games). Heck of a day for 98.

Carter’s first-half pressure numbers also reflected his impact.

Next Gen Stats figures included in the supplied game breakdown credited him with three pressures on 22 pass rushes, a 13.6% pressure rate. He faced seven double teams during those rushes, a 31.8% rate. Those figures cover the first half. Philadelphia ultimately couldn't turn Carter’s disruptive afternoon into a win. Still, his ability to reach Lawrence and force the ball loose twice made for a strong individual performance amid another frustrating result.
With his previous season’s sack total already matched, Carter’s production through five games gives Philadelphia something to build on as it tries to end its losing streak.
