The Philadelphia Eagles are preparing to move forward without an anchor on their offensive line.
During his appearance Tuesday on 94WIP, Eagles coach Nick Sirianni said Philadelphia would miss starting left guard Landon Dickerson “for the foreseeable future.” Sirianni did not announce a recovery timeline or reveal how the Eagles will replace the three-time Pro Bowl selection. He acknowledged that the coaching staff has a “way we’re leaning” with the offensive line but declined to provide additional details.
Dickerson’s absence creates a significant challenge for an offensive line that has relied heavily on continuity and communication. His power, experience, and chemistry with left tackle Jordan Mailata have helped Philadelphia build one of the
NFL’s most physical rushing attacks.

The Eagles could insert another player directly into Dickerson’s spot or make multiple changes to field their best five available offensive linemen. Drew Kendall and Willie Lampkin are among the interior options Philadelphia could consider, although Sirianni’s comments suggest the team has already identified its preferred alignment.
Kendall appeared in seven games with one start during his rookie season, gaining experience at guard and center. Lampkin earned first-team All-America honors at North Carolina before joining Philadelphia and continued to make progress during training camp.
Regardless of the decision, replacing Dickerson will require more than filling one position. The Eagles must protect Jalen Hurts while maintaining the movement and physicality that define their running game.
Philadelphia appears to have a plan. Sirianni simply is not ready to reveal it.
