The Eagles are making another offensive change ahead of Monday night’s matchup against Dallas.
Philadelphia is releasing tight end E.J. Jenkins, NFL Network’s Mike Garafolo reported Thursday.
Jenkins appeared in all six games this season, making two starts, but did not record a reception. In 16 career regular-season appearances with Philadelphia, he has one 7-yard catch and a touchdown. He caught that pass from Tanner McKee against the Giants in the 2024 regular-season finale.
The 6-foot-6, 245-pound tight end contributed on offense and special teams during Philadelphia’s Super Bowl LIX championship season. He played eight regular-season games and all four postseason contests that year, logging 95 offensive snaps and 91 special teams snaps during the
regular season.

His departure comes as Philadelphia continues evaluating its tight end depth. Dallas Goedert and Johnny Mundt remain options, while Grant Calcaterra and rookie Eli Stowers had their practice windows opened last week. Zach Ertz has also provided depth from the practice squad.
The reported move doesn't establish which player will fill Jenkins’ roster spot, but it creates room for another adjustment as the Eagles try to end a four-game losing streak.
Philadelphia has already reshuffled its backfield this week and could get Saquon Barkley back against the Cowboys. Moving on from Jenkins adds another change as the Eagles work to improve an offense that managed only 14 points against Carolina.
