The Philadelphia Eagles are another day closer to preparing for Case Keenum as Chicago’s starting quarterback on Monday night.
Caleb Williams, dealing with a hamstring injury, and backup Tyson Bagent, who is in concussion protocol, were both listed as not practicing Friday
on the Bears’ injury report. Neither participated Thursday, either, although Chicago’s Thursday designations were estimates because the team did not practice that day.The Bears have not ruled out either quarterback. Coach Ben Johnson previously described Williams’ injury as week-to-week, and Bagent must clear concussion protocol before he can play. If neither is available against Philadelphia, Keenum would be next in line. The 14-year veteran has made 66 NFL starts, but has not appeared
in a regular-season game since 2023.

A quarterback change would affect how the Eagles prepare, particularly against a Chicago offense that has averaged 212.5 rushing yards through two games. Philadelphia still has to account for D’Andre Swift and Kyle Monangai regardless of who takes the first snap. Monangai offered Chicago a positive development Friday: He was listed as a full participant after appearing on Thursday’s estimated report as a nonparticipant because of a knee injury.
Kicker Cairo Santos was listed as not practicing for a second day with a right hip injury. Defensive back Tyrique Stevenson returned on a limited basis after being listed as a nonparticipant Thursday.
Chicago practices Saturday again before issuing its final game-status designations. Until then, Keenum remains a possibility, not a confirmed starter, for Monday Night Football.
