T.J. Edwards made his return matchup with the Eagles count.
The Bears linebacker intercepted Jalen Hurts late in the third quarter, ending a Philadelphia possession and taking a 20-7 lead. The Bears followed with a 13-play, 58-yard touchdown drive that pushed their lead to 20 points. The interception was Edwards’ sharpest read of the night, but he had been disrupting Philadelphia’s passing game before it. He finished with three passes defended, including an earlier near-interception when the Bears again showed pressure before dropping him into coverage. Hurts tried to attack the space behind the anticipated rush, and Edwards was waiting there.
Chicago showed pressure before the snap, but Edwards dropped into coverage and got into the passing lane.
He had nearly intercepted a similar look earlier. His final line included three tackles, a tackle for loss, three passes defended, and the interception.

Edwards’ play was one part of a greater defensive effort. The Bears held the Eagles scoreless after halftime, limited them to two conversions on nine third downs and took the ball away three times. For Philadelphia, the interception was its fifth giveaway over the last two games. The Eagles have not forced a turnover this season.
