The Eagles moved four injured players closer to returning Wednesday, opening the practice windows for guard Landon Dickerson, defensive back Jakorian Bennett, and tight ends Grant Calcaterra and Eli Stowers ahead of their Week 6 matchup against Carolina.
Philadelphia also announced it is signing defensive back Dean Clark to the practice squad.
Opening the windows lets the four players resume practice while remaining on injured reserve. The Eagles have 21 days to evaluate them and activate them to the 53-man roster. Wednesday’s announcement does not indicate that any of them will play against the Panthers. Dickerson’s potential return would be particularly significant for an offensive line that has undergone substantial changes. The three-time
Pro Bowl left guard missed four games with a knee injury after the season-opening win over Washington.

Earlier Wednesday, Nick Sirianni said the Eagles were still working through Dickerson’s status and would provide more information later in the day. The team’s announcement gives him a path back to practice as Philadelphia tries to improve a running game that produced 22 yards on 18 carries against Jacksonville.
Bennett would give Vic Fangio another option in the secondary. At the same time, Calcaterra and Stowers could bolster a tight end group that used Dallas Goedert, Johnny Mundt, E.J. Jenkins, and practice-squad elevation Zach Ertz in London. Stowers, the No. 54 overall pick in April’s draft, has yet to make his regular-season debut after landing on injured reserve with quadriceps and hamstring injuries before the opener.
The Eagles enter Sunday at 2-3 after three consecutive losses. Carolina begins a four-game stretch that includes Dallas, Washington, and the Giants before the Week 10 bye.
