The Philadelphia Eagles are making a significant change to their offensive line for Sunday’s matchup against the Tennessee Titans. Philadelphia will move Cam Jurgens from center to guard and start Drew Kendall at center, according to NFL Network’s Cameron Wolfe. The move answers one of the biggest questions surrounding the Eagles
after Landon Dickerson was placed on injured reserve with a knee injury.Kendall, a fifth-round pick in the 2025 NFL Draft, will handle snaps and make the necessary protection calls in Nashville. He will make his first start at center against a Tennessee defensive front led by All-Pro defensive tackle Jeffery Simmons.
Moving Jurgens gives Philadelphia an experienced guard option. Before replacing Jason Kelce at center,
Jurgens started 11 games at right guard in 2023. His athleticism and familiarity with the position should help reduce some of the disruption created by Dickerson’s absence.

The Eagles had several potential options at left guard during the practice week. Fred Johnson worked with the starting offensive line during individual drills, while Kendall and Willie Lampkin were also viewed as candidates. Philadelphia ultimately decided its strongest combination would feature Jurgens at guard and Kendall in the middle. The reconfigured line will face an immediate test against Simmons and a Titans defense looking to rebound from its Week 1 loss to the New York Jets.
