The Eagles lost to the Jaguars 19-17 on Sunday at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in London after Cam Little’s winning field goalerased Philadelphia’s late lead. Jake Elliott put the Eagles up 17-16 with a 48-yard field goal with eight seconds remaining. Little’s response completed Jacksonville’s comeback from a 14-7 halftime deficit and sent Philadelphia to its third consecutive defeat.
The Eagles fell to 2-3, while the Jaguars improved to 4-1.
Jalen Hurts completed 21 of 40 passes for 220 yards, one touchdown and no interceptions. His 62-yard touchdown pass to Darius Cooper gave Philadelphia its halftime advantage after Will Shipley’s 2-yard touchdown run tied the game.
Philadelphia could not sustain that production. The Eagles rushed for 22 yards
on 18 attempts and scored just three points in the second half. Six of their eight halftime possessions ended in punts, and another ended on downs.
Trevor Lawrence threw for 331 yards and two touchdowns, with one interception. Parker Washington caught six passes for 124 yards and both touchdowns, including a 27-yard fourth-down score that gave Jacksonville a 16-14 lead before Little missed the extra point. Jalen Carter finished with five tackles, two sacks, three tackles for loss and two forced fumbles. Quinyon Mitchell recorded his first regular-season interception, while Zack Baun led Philadelphia with 11 tackles.
The Eagles also lost Shipley, Jalyx Hunt and Michael Carter II to injuries. Tyler Steen was listed as questionable to return with a shoulder injury, and Fred Johnson replaced him at right guard. Philadelphia hosts Carolina in Week 6, with its losing streak and depleted lineup becoming increasingly pressing concerns.
