The Philadelphia Eagles continue evaluating offensive line help, bringing in rookie guard Evan Beerntsen for a workout after his release from the Seattle Seahawks’ practice squad.
Baltimore selected Beerntsen in the seventh round of the 2026 NFL Draft with the 253rd overall pick. He subsequently joined Seattle’s practice squad in September before being released this week.
Beerntsen brings considerable college experience. He started all 13 games at right guard for Northwestern in 2025 and earned honorable mention All-Big Ten recognition after spending the previous six seasons at South Dakota State. He started three years for the Jackrabbits and earned second-team Associated Press FCS All-America honors in 2024.

Philadelphia’s interest comes as injuries complicate preparations for Monday night’s matchup against Dallas. Landon Dickerson has been dealing with knee and pectoral issues, while Tyler Steen has a shoulder injury. Center Drew Kendall has also been working through a knee issue.
Dickerson opened Friday’s individual drills ahead of Willie Lampkin at left guard, an encouraging development as the Eagles assess their available combinations. Lampkin returned after missing Thursday’s practice due to illness.
Philadelphia also signed Evan Neal to its practice squad Thursday. The former first-round pick has appeared in 29 NFL games with 27 starts, giving the Eagles another experienced option to develop along the offensive line. A workout gives Philadelphia an opportunity to assess Beerntsen’s readiness and potential fit. Any signing would be another step toward reinforcing a position group that needs more stability as the Eagles try to end a four-game losing streak.
