Canadian developer Cabot has partnered with businessman John Bragg and his family to build a new golf resort in Cumberland County, Nova Scotia.
Toronto-based architect Jeff Mingay will design the golf course at the 2,500-acre property to be named Cabot Wilds with plans to open in late 2027.
Cabot has been one of the world’s most rapidly growing golf developers and operators in recent years. After opening Cabot Cape Breton in Nova Scotia in 2012, along with its two revered courses (Cliffs and Links), Cabot has expanded to Florida with Cabot Citrus Farms, the Caribbean at Cabot Saint Lucia, Scotland with Cabot Highlands, France with Cabot Bordeaux and even Norway with a partnership with Lofoten Links. A new course and resort will open in 2027 at Cabot Revelstoke
in British Columbia.
Cabot Wilds will be developed in the foothills of the Cobequid Mountains in Collingwood Corner, just outside Oxford. Bragg is founder of Bragg Group, a holding company that includes Oxford Frozen Foods, the world’s largest wild blueberry farming operation. It’s not a coincidence that the chosen region for Cabot Wilds has been called the “wild blueberry capital of Canada.”

We are thrilled to see him take a more prominent role across Cabot’s portfolio as we shape the brand’s future.”
Mingay’s 18-hole course at Cabot Wilds will play along the River Philip and across rugged highlands and tree-lined valleys offering panoramic views of maple forests and wild blueberry fields. Plans for Cabot Wilds also include a clubhouse, dining, a recreation pavilion, racquet sports facilities and a real estate component. Two-bedroom, four-bedroom and eight-bedroom luxury cottages will be available, as will lots with golf course, hillside or river views.
