A Lim Kim might be having the most fun in Scotland, with her white bunny earmuffs and easy smile. The player known as "Queen," has a deep affinity for links golf, in all conditions, and waits all year for fish and chips.
"Honestly, I love this course because it's more fun and more windy," she said after battling rain and wind on Friday at Dundonald Links.
As for the earmuffs, Kim said in addition to keeping her ears warm, they also keep her confidence high.
The 2020 U.S. Women's Open champion carded rounds of 67-72 at the ISPS Handa Women's Scottish Open to take the clubhouse lead at 5 under. Past champion Lauren Coughlin, who shared the overnight lead with Jenny Shin at 6 under, shot 74 to drop to 4 under.

The low round of the day so far belonged to Ina Yoon, who danced around the flagstick all day en route to a 68.
Japan's Erika Hara carded a second straight 70 that included a hole-out for eagle on the par-4 10th. Hara, an LPGA rookie, first played the Scottish two years ago and shot 76-76.
Thailand's Parjaree Anannarukarn posted a 69 to hold a share of third with Hara.
World No. 1 Nelly Korda opened with a 72 and is playing in the afternoon wave alongside defending champion Lottie Woad (74) and Charley Hull (78).
The cut line of 5 over could move higher in the afternoon if the wind picks up. On Day 1, 29 players failed to break 80 on a firm and fast Dundonald Links.
