We saw the ad. Then we saw the backlash, the apologies, the PGA Tour commissioner's reaction, reports of a TV show getting postponed and of product getting pulled off shelves and off websites.
Now we're hearing from one of the central figures in the Good Good Callaway "Obsession" driver ad.
Garrett Clark, who in the video is depicted as someone knocking over a women who was about to touch his Callaway driver, posted a nearly 9-minute video Wednesday night, apologizing and explaining his side of things.

"I wanted to come on here real quick and talk about the current situation with Callaway and Good Good," he started out. "I personally want to apologize for playing the role in this skit, in this ad, at the magnitude that
I did."
He added: "This is not at all what we stand for, the way this ad was received, is not how Good Good is, and it's not what we stand for. I want everyone to know that I don't support DV [domestic violence] or abuse or any of that to any, of any kind."

Clark then spent several minutes explaining his side of how the production of the ad went down. He talked about how the movie "Obsession" was the inspiration from the marketing team but called the concept "super dumb" and "not the greatest idea."
He showed the clip in question, but also showed some behind-the-scenes shots, outtakes and other angles, to demonstrate that he did not, in fact, knock Alexis Miestowski to the ground. Clark then shared some disgusting comments that Miestowski received via direct messages on social media.
In his final comments in the video, Clark said: "Good Good messed up by supporting a very poor-taste ad that was not good in any way, shape or fashion but hopefully you guys can forgive Good Good as well as myself for being a part of it, and hopefully we can move on and grow the women's side of golf, because that is one of our huge, huge goals."
